Qix Wiki:Deletion policy
Deletion is the process of removing content from public view. Qix Wiki, as well as all wikis in general, utilize deletion as a process of maintenance, security, safety, and proper documentation. Any content may be deleted at any time, but there must generally be a compelling reason to do so. Major examples include the following:
- A page is not within scope.
- It exceeds the limits set within the user content policy.
- It is a non-mainspace redirect that is no longer necessary, such as the result of a page rename.
- Blatant spam or vandalism efforts.
- A delete request was made, and an administrator approved its deletion.
- Something has been replaced with a new version, typically in regards to files or templates.
Furthermore, individual revisions may also be deleted. Reasons for revision deletions may include:
- Blatant vandalism
- Offensive material
- Unacceptable external links
- Broken or otherwise non-functional revisions
Pages may be undeleted upon request and a thorough explanation as to why a page may need to be undeleted. Administrators can still access deleted material.
Furthermore, any Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content—particularly in reference to pornographic Qix knock-off games, as well as downloads/ROMs for any games will be deleted on sight, with no questions asked. This is not up for negotiation.
